Juventus sign Paolo De Ceglie

The new 2008/09 Juventus side is taking shape. Next season, Claudio Ranieri will be able to count on Paolo De Ceglie too. The young player from Val d'Aosta, who turns 22 in September and spent years at Juventus' youth sector, returns to the team that moulded him and launched him at the top level.

Therefore, Juventus get one of their most promising youngsters back, after settling in their favour the joint-ownership deal with Siena; this year Paolo played his first (excellent) season in Serie A there, collecting 29 appearances and two goals.

Meanwhile, it has been decided that Andrea Rossi will stay in Tuscany. The lad from the Marche region, who grew up at Juventus too, and recently went on tour with them in China and Australia, has been sold on a permanent basis to Siena.

Director of Sport Alessio Secco commented the deal after the announcement was made. «With De Ceglie's return to Turin, our plan of getting our young talents who grew up at Juventus back is marching on. Paolo has done very well at Siena and we're sure he'll be able to show his worth to Claudio Ranieri».
