Cobolli Gigli: «Repeated errors against us»

Four months on, it's as if nothing has changed. Juventus lost an incredible match, decided by a series of mistakes by the game’s referee, Mr. Paolo Dondarini from Finale Emilia.

Just like at the San Paolo Stadium in Naples, Juventus Chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli chose to speak tonight at the Granillo Stadium in Reggio Calabria, to express the views of the whole Club.

«What happened in Naples happened again tonight. The Italian Football Federation and the people in charge of the referees have to take a long hard look at what happened here because we cannot go on like this. There were repeated mistakes against us; these ruined a good match that Juventus deserved to win on the pitch. In situations such as these, there's no need to see the incidents in slow motion, one's eyes are enough. Evidently Mr. Dondarini wasn't up to it tonight. We have the right to play our League. I don't think anyone is in bad faith, but referees are making too many mistakes; I've always been convinced we don't need to use foreign refs, but now I'm beginning to think the exact opposite».
