For 199 times, we have experienced the excitement, the trepidation and the joy of arriving at Allianz Stadium, to cross the gates and enjoy the beautiful football of our beloved Bianconeri.
As Friday approaches, we are about to hit a double century as we take on Udinese which will in fact be the twelfth match against the Friuliani in all competitions played in our home. (We’ve played 156 games under the name of Juventus Stadium and 43 games as Allianz Stadium).
Having an advantage playing at home has never been so true. Since we’ve opened our stadium, the Serie A title has only ever been won here.
Out of 199 games, Juve has won 158. In fact, out of every 10 games, Juventus has won eight. If you add the draws, the results in which we’ve earned points rises to an outstanding figure of 190, which equals to an average of 95.5 percent.
It seems like yesterday that we gathered around President Andrea Agnelli as he invited us to close our eyes... and then continued: "Reopen them and look at your neighbors. Never forget the faces of your neighbours: they are the faces of Juventus. The faces that met after 114 years when we finally conquered this home.” That day was September 8, 2011.
Three days later, Juventus was on the pitch for the first official match in the league against Parma. And at the moment of the kick-off whistle, the stadium had brought the team back to the splendor that has always characterised our history.
Since then, it has been a continuous ascent up the legendary ladder leading to seven championships in a row. Now, we sit on the mark of the 200th game. The Allianz Stadium is and will always remain our treasure and our most precious prize. It is the passion of the Bianconeri people.
