The Juventus Museum's goal has always been to give Juventus fans a complete, immersive and unique experience, to breathe all the magic of Juventus' history. It is because of this that the decision to launch a tour dedicated to deaf people, available from Sunday 27 September, World Day of the Deaf, has been implemented.
In order to make the project come into life, we collaborated with the National Deaf Organization - Piedmont Region and the Segni di Integrazione cooperative, to translate the contents of the museum into sign language, a language that is the most visible expression through which deaf people can to communicate. In addition, some deaf university students, selected by ENS-Piemonte, were involved and contributed to the production of 11 video contents that can be viewed through 11 QR-Codes positioned along the walls of the museum.
When setting up the itinerary, the Juventus Museum will enter the national MAPS project, wanted by the ENS headquarters and by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, which has in its name, the purpose for which it was born: making Italian museums accessible to deaf people. The project is not the first aimed at making the Museum increasingly accessible and barrier-free: it already organises stadium tours dedicated to the non-ambulatory public on a scheduled basis, and this season, plans to launch another one, with a tour dedicated to the blind.
We are waiting for you at the Juventus Museum!
