Allegri: It's the details that count

Before training on Friday, 16 February and ahead of the team's departure for Verona, Coach Massimiliano Allegri pre-viewed his side's Saturday encounter against Hellas Verona, scheduled for 17 February at 18:00 CET at the Bentegodi Stadium.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

"We have reviewed the performances of the last three games: we need to work, because it is not good to have collected only one point at home in two games: they were not negative displays, even with the data in hand. What we need to work on together is our attitude, especially in attention to detail: in the end against Udinese we were punished for a lack of concentration on a set piece, and we simply can't concede these type of goals."

OUR OPPOSITION

"Verona is doing a good job, in a complicated situation, they've lost a lot of games, but we will have to play a good match. The group is doing well, I still have to decide who to play in attack. Federico Chiesa has in recent times alternated matches with absences, but in any case tomorrow I will have everyone available except Moise Kean who is working and we hope he will return as soon as possible. The more attacking players I can put out on the pitch, the better, but then there are many aspects to consider: the timing, the conditions, the balance of the team. Regardless of who plays, what counts will be the attitude towards the details: the more we talk, the less we do, and now more than ever we need to work."

RE-BUILDING

"We haven't won a trophy for a couple of years, it's true: but in the meantime we have the Coppa Italia to play for, we're in the semi-finals. We are building a path, in which it is also important to remember that we have not been out of the Champions League for 11 years (obviously apart from this year, but for other reasons), it is neither easy nor a given, and it is important for the Club. Not winning, if you're used to it, it's something to overcome, doing something more to get back to winning titles.

"But we need to take it one step at a time: let's finish this year in the best possible way by trying to get the most out of the remaining matches, taking advantage of what didn't go well in the last few. We have a young squad, which is gaining experience, and a management that will do everything to strengthen the team in future, where we hope to have many more games to play."

CARLOS AND TIAGO

"Carlos Alcaraz is working well, I really like his desire to learn and his learning ability; in the last game I needed other players, but I'm happy with what he is doing. Tiago Djaló is growing, and he'll be a useful player between now and the end of the season."

And finally, everything that is needed between now and the end of the season, in one sentence.
