Coach Massimiliano Allegri addressed the journalists gathered for the pre-match press conference on the eve of the match on Tuesday, 23 April - at 21:00 CEST - against Lazio, our Coppa Italia semi-final return leg. The tie will continue with the Bianconeri in front, thanks to the 2-0 victory secured in the first leg played at the Allianz Stadium earlier this month.
OPPOSITION
"We will find a Lazio side that will play a very aggressive game, having to come back from two goals down. They are changing compared to the team coached by Sarri, they are much more aggressive. Tomorrow will be a difficult match, it will be a return leg semi-final of the Coppa Italia and we will play for access to the final. Lazio will attack us, we will have to be ready. It will be a very long match.
SEASONAL OBJECTIVES
"This year we started with two goals: to qualify for next year's Champions League - we are currently third in the standings - and to win the Coppa Italia. I always say that when you play, the goal must be to go all the way in the competitions, always. Our focus now must be to go all the way in the Coppa Italia and that must be our goal tomorrow. The team will be motivated and I'm sure none of us are thinking about the two-goal lead in the first leg. When you are at Juventus you have to play to get results, to win. The ambition must always be to reach our maximum. When you play in a great team it's important to live with the desire and, consequently, the pressure to try to win trophies.
TEAM NEWS
"Chiesa has always taken part in the team's most important actions in recent weeks: today I will evaluate the condition of all the players in training, but with the knowledge that tomorrow our substitutions will also be fundamental, so everyone's contribution will be needed. Yildiz is on a growth path, he has extraordinary qualities. Let's take Bremer as an example: this year is different from last season, here at Juventus the jersey weighs heavy. After a year and a half we are back playing crucial matches: with these matches you learn and grow, and you understand the pressure of wearing these colours."
