The years go by, inexorably, just like all of our tears on 25th April 1995 when the sad news of the death of Andrea Fortunato, aged only 23, was announced.
We miss Andrea so much. We miss his kindness, his smile, the fortitude that he showed and always distinguished him, even in the most difficult of moments.
What we hold onto tightly, however is the memory of him. It remains always there in our hearts and in our minds, because on that day 26 years ago a piece of each of us went away with him.
Andrea joined Juventus in the summer of 1993, in his early twenties, but despite his young age he immediately showed his technical and character qualities.
A real talent on the left-hand side, a young man who had all the numbers to become one of the greatest in his role, but who unfortunately saw it cut short in the face of a terrible disease.
The void you left is huge, dear Andrea, but you are and will always be with us.
