Bianconeri players called up for international duty

Below are all the commitments in which the players of the First Team will participate.

FIRST TEAM

There are 12 Bianconeri who will wear the colours of their national team.

Let's start from Italy: Leonardo Bonucci, Federico Bernardeschi, Federico Chiesa and Giorgio Chiellini were all called up by Roberto Mancini and are expected to take part in three matches. On Thursday 25 March, at 8.45 pm, they will be involved in the match valid for the first day of the qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup against Northern Ireland at the "Ennio Tardini" Stadium in Parma. Three days later (28 March at 8:45pm), the Azzurri will face Bulgaria at the “Vasil Levski” in Sofia, where more important points will be at stake for qualification for the World Cup. Italy will then wrap up the cycle of three matches in Vilnius, where they will face Lithuania (31 March - 8.45 pm).

Merih Demiral will also take part in three matches for Turkey: on Wednesday 24 March (18.00), in Istanbul, he will face the Matthijs de Ligt’s Netherlands in the first of three s2022 World Cup qualifying matches. He will then take on Norway, on a neutral pitch in Malaga (6.00 pm), before then hosting Latvia, scheduled for March 30th at 8.45 pm, again in Istanbul.

After the match against Turkey, however, de Ligt will play in Amsterdam (27 March - 18.00) against Latvia and away against Gibraltar (30 March - 20.45).

Wojciech Szczesny and his Poland will also play in three 2022 World Cup qualifying fixtures. The first is scheduled for Thursday 25 March at 8.45 pm at the "Puskás Aréna" in Budapest against Hungary. The second will be played at home in Warsaw against Andorra (28 March - 8.45 pm), before then going to London to face England (31 March - 8.45 pm).

Dejan Kulusevski will begin his journey with Sweden by facing Georgia in Solna (25 March - 8.45 pm). This will be followed by commitments against Kosovo (28 March - 8.45 pm), away and before taking on Estonia, again in Solna (31 March - 5.45 pm). The former two fixtures will be World Cup qualifiers, while the last a friendly encounter.

Adrien Rabiot's France will open their World Cup qualifications against Ukraine at the "Stade de France" (24 March - 8.45 pm), and it will be followed by two away games: the first in Kazakhstan (28 March - 15.00) and then against Bosnia-Herzegovina (31 March - 20.45).

Cristiano Ronaldo's journey towards the next World Cup will begin in Turin, at the Allianz Stadium. The Portuguese’s national team will face Azerbaijan on Wednesday 24 March at 20.45, before heading over to Serbia (27 March - 20.45) and Luxembourg (30 March - 20.45).

Alvaro Morata and his Spain will make their debut in the qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup in Granada against Greece (25 March - 8.45 pm), before facing Georgia in an away match (28 March - 18.00). They will then return home to play against Kosovo (March 31 - 8.45 pm), in Seville.

Also noteworthy is Gianluca Frabotta’s call-up to the Italy Under 21 team.
