Boattin, Girelli and Giuliani awarded as best players!

An absolutely #F4BULOUS season from Juventus Women, who concluded their campaign with a 100% win record. Leading from the first to the last day, the Bianconere sailed towards their fourth-consecutive title, easily overcoming all kinds of obstacles whilst setting records in the process. The season obviously also featured performances of the highest level, both collectively and individually and among the players awarded as the "Best of the Season", there are three Bianconere that have been awarded.

There's a double prize for Cristiana Girelli, top scorer in the league and who, with her goals, entered the history of the club, becoming the first Bianconera to reach 50 goals. The number 10 was awarded as Best Overall Player and Best Striker. Laura Giuliani was given the award of Best Goalkeeper, whilst Lisa Boattin was awarded Best Defender.

The awards, presented today by Ludovica Mantovani, President of the Women's Football Division, were awarded on the basis of OPTA data.

THE COMMENTS FROM THE BIANCONERE

"We are and I am very happy with the season that we have had - commented Cristiana Girelli - the Coppa Italia is a pity because we would have liked to win that too. I'm sorry that there are only three girls today because I believe that for what we did all of them deserved an award. We are already fired up for next season."

Laura Giuliani said, "It's an award that makes me so proud at the end of a season, in which as a group and as a team we have done impressive things. I think it's the best form of recognition to end this season in the best possible way."

"This year has been a very special year, winning 22 games out of 22 is something historic - said Lisa Boattin - we are delighted with this record and with having brought home the Scudetto."
