There's just one day left until the start of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, which will see 12 Bianconeri competing. One of those involved will be Wojciech Szczesny, and his country, Poland took part in their final World Cup warm-up last night, as they hosted Lithuania in Warsaw.
The Poles get their World Cup underway on Tuesday 19 June when they play Senegal in Moscow, and they couldn't have hoped for a better confidence booster going into the tournament than a 4-0 friendly win.
Robert Lewandowski's first half brace got the home side up and running, with Szczesny coming on for Lukasz Fabianski at the interval. In the second period Poland extended their lead in the 70th minute through Dawid Kownacki, with Jakub Blaszczykowski wrapping things up with a penalty inside the final 10 minutes.
