Every day, people are subjected to hatred, injustice and humiliation due to the colour of their skin and their ethnic background.
Starting today and over the course of the week leading up to the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on Monday 21 March, Juventus and UNESCO reaffirm their efforts in fighting all forms of racism and invite fans to do the same.
Juventus and UNESCO have long collaborated in the fight against racism, giving rise to the following projects:
- ‘Kick Out Racism’ and ‘Play With Me,’ presented by club president Andrea Agnelli on 6 March 2014 in the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
- The UNESCO Cup, from which proceeds helped to provide support to child soldiers in Mali and the Central African Republic.
- The ‘Colour? What Colour?’ dossier, presented on 27 November 2015 in Paris, which analyses the relationship between discrimination and inclusion in the world of sport.
