Juan Cuadrado turned up again for Colombia yesterday evening in their final Copa America game, which saw them finish third in the tournament.
After suffering defeat to Argentina in the semi-finals earlier in the week, Colombia took on Peru in a match that was valid for the bronze medal.
Despite finding themselves a goal down in the 45th minute to Yotun's strike, Cuadrado responded immediately at the start of the second half with a free-kick goal four minutes later. Luis Diaz then put his nation 2-1 ahead, before Lapadula found an equaliser for Peru with 82 minutes on the clock. The game looked destined to go into extra time, but Luis Diaz took charge and fired home the match winner in the 92nd minute, which saw Colombia claim a 3-2 victory.
Between tonight and tomorrow, six Bianconeri will be vying for a trophy win in the shape of the Euro 2020 (Chiellini, Bonucci, Bernardeschi, Chiesa with Italy) and Copa America (Danilo and Alex Sandro with Brazil) title. Best of luck to them!
