Juan Cuadrado’s superbly taken first-half goal had many in black and white hoping for a famous Champions League victory on Wednesday night against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Despite the Germans’ second-half comeback and eventual victory in extra-time, the Colombian winger was keen to focus on the many positives in a performance he stressed would stand his side in good stead for their pursuit of Serie A and Coppa Italia honours this term.
He began: “I’m satisfied with how we played throughout the match. The whole team showed tremendous strength and put Bayern under pressure in both the first and second half of the contest.
“It’s just a shame that we conceded the equaliser with only a couple of minutes left on the clock, but that’s football. Experiences such as these will serve to help us grow. Now we need to move on from this and focus on the derby against Torino this Sunday.”
