With two goals and four assists to his name it’s fair to say it’s not been a bad month for Douglas Costa, who in his debut season at the club now has two MVP awards to his name.
“The Flash” had a hand in almost every single match in the month of April providing either a goal or an assist when he stepped onto the pitch. Costa got the ball rolling with a stunning effort away to Benevento to cap off a 2-4 away win for the Bianconeri. He would then follow that up with a hat-trick of assists at home to Sampdoria, as he helped set up Mario Mandzukic, Benedikt Howedes and Sami Khedira to score in a 3-0 win.
Against Crotone, Costa provided a cross for his fellow countryman, Alex Sandro to head home in what would be a 1-1 draw away in Calabria. His latest effort came in Saturday’s pulsating 2-3 win away at Inter, as Costa opened the scoring at the San Siro with a stunning volley.
In recognition of his efforts the Bianconeri fans have voted Douglas Costa as the April "MVP of the Month powered by EA Sports", and prior to Saturday’s home match against Bologna he will receive the award from a lucky Juventus Member.
Well done, Douglas!
