On a day in which Paulo Dybala took his 2015/16 tally to 23 goals in all competitions with two fine strikes against Sampdoria, the Argentine hotshot certainly ended a brilliant first season at Juventus in style, culminating in a maiden Serie A triumph for the former Palermo man.
“Today’s a time to celebrate for everyone,” he began. “It’s my first Scudetto and I’m absolutely delighted.
“After a difficult start, we’ve overcome every challenge to head in our direction. I played a lot and put in the hard yards, scoring plenty of goals along the way.”
While the side will inevitably soak up their historic fifth successive Scudetto over the weekend, Dybala stressed that their focus would switch to next Saturday’s chance to collect further silverware in the Coppa Italia final against Milan at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.
“After a season as special as this, we can celebrate and enjoy the day. From Monday, we turn our attentions to the Coppa Italia.”
