Enzo Barrenechea and Juventus have parted ways. The 23-year-old has departed Turin to join Premier League side Aston Villa.
Returning to Juventus at the end of the 2023/24 season after a loan spell with Frosinone in Serie A, where he played 37 times (34 in the league), Barrenechea is heading to England to embark on a new experience.
Barrenechea first cut his teeth with Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina before joining Sion in 2019. From there, Juventus signed him in January 2020 and he went on to become a big player for the Primavera and Next Gen sides, making 47 appearances for the latter, scoring three times.
In 2022/23, he became part of the first-team squad and made his Champions League debut on 2 November, 2022, against Paris Saint-Germain. He would go on to play three times in Serie A for the Bianconeri.
Now, a new chapter begins for Enzo, and we wish him the very best of luck.
