It was a good night for all the Bianconeri in action yesterday. In fact, every one of them from Spain to Italy and Brazil, all qualified for the semi-finals of their respective tournaments.
Alvaro Morata was the first to do so with his nation Spain, when they needed penalties to secure their passage to the semi-final of the Euro 2020 against Switzerland after the game ended 1-1 in full time and extra time.
Following that encounter, Chiellini, Bonucci and Chiesa all took to the field against Belgium (Bernardeschi was an unused substitute), in a match which saw the Azzurri triumph 2-1 courtesy of goals from Barella and Insigne. They will now come up against Morata and Spain on Tuesday, in a match which will no doubt be an entertaining battle for a spot in the final.
Across in Brazil, Danilo and Alex Sandro (who didn't feature last night), secured their spot in the final four with a narrow 1-0 victory over Chile, despite being a man down from the 48th minute.
Tonight, Rodrigo Bentancur will be in action for Uruguay against Juan Cuadrado's Colombia.
