What a night it was for our Fab Four Bianconeri and the Italian National Team! Last night they were crowned Euro 2020 champions after defeating England at Wembley!
It wasn't an easy start for Roberto Mancini's Azzurri as they went a goal down after just two minutes on the clock courtesy of Luke Shaw. However, Italy paced themselves and put out a resilient display that saw him eventually grab the equaliser through none other than Leonardo Bonucci himself in the 67th minute.
Leo's equalising header saw him set the record for the oldest player to score in a Euro final at the age of 34 years and 17 days, while he also became the player to make the most appearances for Italy in EURO finals history (18).
With the scores tied at 1-1, the game went into extra time and then penalties, which saw Berardi, Bonucci and Bernardeschi all convert theirs as the scoreline finished at 3-2 and Italy were crowned the champions of Europe!
Congratulations Chiellini, Bonucci, Berna and Chiesa. Congratulations, FAB FOUR!
