Juventus Women welcome Federica Cafferata, who has signed on the dotted line until 30 June 2026.
The defender, born in 2000, took her first steps in football in her native Genoa before setting out on her first experience outside of Ligury with Napoli in 2019. She remained in Naples for two seasons, winning promotion to Serie A when she met Juve for the first time as an opponent - without yet thinking that her future would see her wear the black and white shirt.
In the summer of 2021 she moved to Fiorentina, where her development as a footballer continued, showing all her value over two very intense years. In this last season she collected 22 appearances in Serie A, proof of her status in the Viola set-up.
On 10 October 2022, in her home town of Genoa she made her debut for the full national team, replacing Valentina Cernoia in the 88th minute of Italy-Brazil. In those closing minutes she played next to Martina Rosucci. In Federica's photo album there is a snap of her dated 2016 - a young girl with a dream, next to Martina dressed in the sky blue of Italy. The two will now be teammates also at club level.
Federica is ready to start this new chapter in her career, which officially gets underway on 1 July 2023.
Welcome to Juventus!
