HEAD-TO-HEAD: Juventus-Monza

The last league match of the season sees Juventus host Monza at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Bianconeri earned a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture earlier this season, and will hope to do the double over their opponents to finish the season on a high.

Ahead of Saturday's 18:00 CEST kick-off, here's the two sides' head-to-head record:

HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORD

  • After losing their first two Serie A matches against Monza, Juventus won the most recent match played in the league against the Brianzoli 2-1 in their encounter played on 1 December, with goals from Adrien Rabiot and Federico Gatti for the Bianconeri, and Valentín Carboni for the Biancorossi.
  • Juventus has lost two of the last four matches (2V) played against Monza between Serie A and Coppa Italia, after being unbeaten in each of the previous four: two draws and two wins, all in the domestic cup competition.
  • Juventus has lost its only previous home match against Monza in Serie A; the last opponent against whom the Bianconeri failed to find success in each of their first two home matches in the competition was Cagliari, between 1964 and 1965 (two 0-0 draws in that case).
  • Monza has a perfectly balanced record in the three away matches played in Serie A against Piedmontese opponents, with one success, one draw and one defeat. However, after winning the first one (against Juventus), the Brianzoli have collected only one point in the two most recent ones (1D, 1L against Torino).
  • Among the teams currently occupying the top half of the standings, Juventus is the only team against whom Monza has won more than one challenge in the last two Serie A seasons (both of those last season).
