Many Bianconeri fans from far and wide were quick to respond when Juventus’ official Twitter and Facebook accounts asked what they were prepared to do if the club reached this season’s Champions League final.
The declarations that came flooding in were a mix of weird and wonderful, from exotic haircuts and tattoos to marriage proposals, but one in particular caught the eye.
Enter Nicolò De Marchi, a staunch Bianconeri fan who claimed he would walk all the way from Turin to Berlin, all in aid of seeing his beloved side compete on the greatest stage of all.
There was no chance of us letting this unmissable opportunity slip through our hands, and neither was Nicolò, who agreed to keep to his promise in the aim of securing a seat at the Olympiastadion.
Given the enormity of the task and inevitable time constraints, Nicolò has been provided with a bicycle and, for the most taxing parts, a maximum 20km of assistance in a Jeep.
Eight different stages will pass across the Alps, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany and his arrival date is scheduled for 4 June, allowing him enough time to get his breath back for cheering on the Bianconeri in Berlin.
His journey got underway on Thursday 28 May, when he departed Juventus Stadium at midday, and, thanks to Galaxy S6 offered by Samsung, every step of the way will be chronicled by a personal diary.
Keep up to date with his exciting challenge on our official social networks and Nicolò’s own personal **Twitter*** andInstagram* accounts.
