INTERNATIONAL RECAP | Friday action for Bianconeri

The Nations League was at the heart of Friday evening’s international football, just as it was on Thursday, and as it will be this weekend and the upcoming week.

Yesterday, at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, the Netherlands produced a convincing performance, defeating Belgium 4-1. The Oranje scored through Steven Bergwijn, Memphis Depay with a double and Denzel Dumfries. Michy Batshuay scored a late consolation for the hosts. Matthijs De Ligt made a second half appearance, coming on in the 74th minute.

Adrien Rabiot was also a second-half substitute, introduced in the 78th minute in France’s 2-1 home loss to Denmark. Andreas Cornelius scored a brace that overturned Karim Benzema’s opener at the Stade De France in Paris.

TODAY'S FIXTURES

This evening Italy make their Nations League debut, at the Dall'Ara in Bologna with a 20h45 CEST kick off against Germany, in the opening day of Group 3. Hungary and England are the other two opponents the Azzurri will face over the next week of International action.
