International Recap | Italy secures EURO qualification!

Italy have secured their spot at next year's European Championships! The Azzurri, following Monday's night's goalless draw with Ukraine, sealed second spot in their qualifying group to book their ticket to Germany's EURO 2024.

In the match played in Leverkusen, Federico Chiesa took to the field from the start, giving everything until the 80th minute when he was replaced by another Juventus player: Moise Kean. Federico Gatti and Andrea Cambiaso did not take the field, although they were part of the Italian squad which will now defend it's title at next year's competition.

Italy thus join France, Serbia and Turkey with Bianconeri representatives in the national teams which have qualified for the EUROs.

TUESDAY ACTION

Five Bianconeri are set for international action on Tuesday, 21 November, starting with Adrien Rabiot, whose already-qualified France will look to maintain their 100% record in their final qualifier against Greece. Fresh off the back of his first goal for the Turkish national team, Kenan Yildiz will hope to feature in his side's last EURO qualifier against Wales, with both the afore-mentioned games kicking off at 20.45 CET.

At the same time, Samuel Iling-Junior's England Under-21 side will be in EURO U-21 qualifying action, taking on Northern Ireland in an all-UK match-up, while Wojciech Szczesny's Poland line up against Latvia in an international friendly.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning (Italian time, 1.30 CET), Gleison Bremer's Brazil face reigning world champions and arch-rivals Argentina in their quest to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
