In yesterday's Nations League, France drew 1-1 with Croatia in Split. Didier Deschamps' side took the lead when Adrien Rabiot, who played the entire match, slotted home on 52 minutes. The hosts equalised with seven minutes to play. Andrej Kramaric converted a penalty awarded after consultation with VAR. Both teams collected their first point and trail Denmark and Austria in the group standings.

Earlier in Tokyo, Brazil narrowly defeated Japan. Alex Sandro was not involved in the game decided by Neymar from the penalty spot.

Elsewhere, Fabio Miretti made his debut for Italy Under 21. The midfielder played all 90 minutes in a 3-0 victory over Luxembourg.
