Two Bianconeri were on the pitch on Thursday, 5 September, featuring in victories for their respective national teams, with Nicolo Savona in action for Italy and Nico Gonzalez lining up with Argentina.
Nico Gonzalez took to the field from the start for the Albiceleste, featuring for 50 minutes in his side’s 3-0 win over Chile in Matchday 7 of their FIFA World Cup qualifier, leaving them five points clear at the top of the qualifying table having played one game more.
Earlier on Thursday, Nicolo Savona made his debut for Italy’s Under-21s as they overpowered San Marino 7-0 in their U-21 European Championship qualifer, the young full-back taking to the field from the start and playing the full 90 minutes for the Azzurrini.
