From Europe to South America, several Bianconeri were in action on the last day of the October international break, with mixed results over Nations League, European Under-21 and World Cup qualifiers.
Starting off in Glasgow with a Nations League match-up between Scotland and Portugal, Francisco Conceicao featured for over an hour in a 0-0 stalemate between the two sides, the result leaving Portugal top of their group with 10 points, three ahead of Croatia.
Remaining on the continent, but focusing on European Under-21 Championship qualifiers, Carmine Nunziata's Azzurrini drew 1-1 with Ireland at the Nereo Rocco Stadium in Trieste to qualify for the final phase of the European Championships. Nicolo Savona played the full 90 minutes, helping his side top their qualifying group.
On the other hand, Samuel Mbangula's Belgium Under-21 side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Hungary, with Sam featuring for the majority of the match. The Belgians thus finished second in their group, meaning a play-off encounter awaits next month for qualification to the Under-21 EUROs.
Heading over to South America, Juan Cabal made a late cameo in Colombia’s resounding 4-0 win over Chile, which leaves them in second place on the continent’s World Cup qualifying table.
Elsewhere, Danilo was an unused substitute as Brazil overcame Peru 4-0, making it back-to-back qualifying victories for the Selecao who sit fourth on the qualifying table.
