The perfect end to a successful stint in the States. Joe Echegini, our new Nigerian acquisition for, who Juventus Women, was awarded the "MAC Hermann Trophy", a prize voted for by member coaches to the standout players in the NCAA First Division (National Collegiate Athletic Association).
It was therefore a stellar end for Joe to see out her US college soccer career, where she has enjoyed a series of successes. She scored 16 goals and contributed five assists to help the Florida State Seminoles win - while remaining undefeated - the "NCAA Trophy", their third triumph in the last six seasons. 5-1 was the result in the final against Stranford, with, obviously, a goal from Joe.
This is just another trophy to add to Joe's bulging cabinet, after being elected MVP of the ACC Tournament, "ACC Offensive Player of the Year" and being included in the "United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American". All tangible recognitions of the super season she enjoyed, as she looks to continue in the same fashion in her new adventure in black and white.
Congratulations, Joe!
