Juventus have done it! Seven-straight league titles in a row see La Vecchia Signora write #HI5TORY, become #LE6END and now become truly #MY7H.
The Bianconeri took on Roma knowing that they would seal a seventh straight Scudetto if they picked up one more point in the capital. The first half was more of a battle than a spectacle, as both sides tried to gain a foothold in the match. The hosts went close twice in the opening 10 minutes as they found themselves through on goal but put their finishes well wide each time.
Juve responded and a great ball from Gonzalo Higuain found Paulo Dybala but Alisson came out quick off his line to block the shot. Dybala had another go at goal in the 34th minute as he took a shot on early to try and catch the keeper cold but was unsuccessful in his attempt.
Shortly after the restart Dybala volleyed the ball into the back of the net but was denied by the flag. However, within five second half minutes Radja Nainggolan was sent off for the hosts after collecting two bookings, first for tugging back Alex Sandro and the second for a late challenge on Dybala.
The game began grind out to a 0-0 finish with neither side really threatening the other, as Juve knew that they would be champions with a point and the Giallorossi also sealing qualification for next year’s Champions League.
With the full-time whistle in Rome, Juventus clinched their seventh straight Scudetto to truly become #MY7H! It caps off an extraordinary last seven years for the Bianconeri who claim an unprecedented 36th league title and a fourth consecutive domestic double!
