The Primavera quarter-final play-off between Juventus and Roma will be decided on Thursday in Rome, with the two sides unseparated after 90 minutes in Turin.
A Marco Oliveri penalty gave Alessandro Del Canto's side the lead after almost an hour of play, before Zan Celar's header three minutes from time levelled the match for Roma.
Juve were awarded a penalty after Fernandino Del Sole was fouled in the area by Roma goalkeeper Andrea Romagnoli. Oliveri made no mistake from 12 yards, as he placed his spot kick coolly past the Roma keeper.
Things could have been ended differently for the Bianconeri, who were given another penalty with five minutes to go when Del Sole played in goalscorer Oliveri with Romagnoli again committing another foul to give Juve the chance to double their lead. Del Sole stepped up to take, however this time Romagnoli redeemed himself with the keeper saving from the former Pescara forward with his feet. In a cruel twist of fate, Roma went straight up the other end to equalise through forward, Celar who was left alone in the box.
It was a tough blow to take with Juve now tied heading into Thursday's second leg, and should the Bianconeri emerge victorious against Roma, Del Canto's boys will meet Inter in the next round.
