Having renewed her contract with Juventus Women until 2026, and continuing a journey with the club she has supporter her whole life, Lisa Boattin shared her emotions.
Below is what she had to say upon penning her new deal.
Overwhelming emotions
"This is the continuation of a story of huge love. I was born into a family of Juventus fans, and wearing the shirt is always special so I'm very happy to be here. It's the club I've supported my whole life, and I cannot wait to get back out onto the pitch with these colours on.
"When I arrived at Juventus I was just a little girl, and now I'm an established player. It's a huge moment for me, I've grown with this club and I'd like to continuing doing so and to win more trophies here. I think it has been a mutually beneficial relationship - I hope I've given Juventus a lot, and I know the club has given me plenty. This contract comes at the right time - I'm 27 years old and happy to continue here."
Bianconera from day one
"I embraced the project from the beginning because it was Juve. Years have passed, but it feels like the early days. When I wear the black and white colors it is difficult to explain in words what I really feel. Seeing the photos as a child with the Juve jersey on is special, a kind of dream that has come true. Lengthening the journey together is a source of great satisfaction and pushes me to always give more. My parents are also proud, nothing has ever changed in that sense. I want to continue to honor the jersey."
"I embraced the project from the very beginning because it was Juventus. Time has passed, but it still feels like the beginning. When I wear this shirt it's hard to explain what I feel. Seeing the photos of myself as a child with the Juventus shirt on is special, it's a reminder that my dream has come true. Extending this journey together gives me real pride and pushes me to give even more. Of course my parents are proud too and nothing has even changed in that sense. I want to continue doing my best for this shirt."
If you could go back in time...
"I'd tell that little girl that she made the right choice. I would urge her to believe in herself and in her dreams. I've played in the Women's Champions League, I've worn the captain's armband, these were all things I dreamt of. I would also try to make her understand the importance of hard work, because I worked hard to get to where I am now."
Eyes on the future
"I want to get back into the Champions League with Juventus. This club deserves to be in the top competition, and the ambition is always to win every trophy on offer. We always play to win."
