#JuveGenoa, the statistics

The Bianconeri maintained their stride towards a fourth consecutive Scudetto title with yesterday’s 1-0 victory over Genoa at Juventus Stadium.

The statistics show the hosts were made to work hard by a spirited Rossoblu outfit but ultimately ground out a deserved three points that keep them 14 above nearest challengers Roma, who beat Cesena yesterday evening.

A round-up of the most important stats from Sunday afternoon’s encounter can be found below:

Two

Penalties saved by Genoa’s substitute goalkeeper Eugenio Lamanna in this season’s Serie A, having previously thwarted Roma’s Adem Ljajic in December 2014. It was Tevez’s first miss from 12 yards, after successfully converting all three previous spot kicks.

Tevez’s Serie A goal haul so far this term, 24 in all competitions. He has also made the division’s biggest contribution to goals scored by a side, adding seven assists to the 16 he has netted.

Championship fixtures without defeat (13 wins, six draws). Allegri’s men were last overcome back in October, when Genoa emerged victorious at the Luigi Ferraris.

27

Juventus have scored 27 goals in the opening 45 minutes of this season’s Serie A, more than any other side. Genoa, on the other hand, were unable to hit the target after striking in each of their last 12 top flight games.

45

The Bianconeri have found the target at least once in each of their last 45 Serie A fixtures.

81.2%

An identical percentage of passes completed by both sides yesterday afternoon. The two teams matched each other in technical terms, making the same amount of recoveries (69), but Juventus won a greater number of tackles (80 per cent vs 74 per cent).
