Playing alongside 200 kids, aged 6 to 15: this was a dream that came to life last weekend in Sochi, Russia, in the Krasnodar region, thanks to the local Juventus Academies.
Three Academies (Moscow, St. Petersburg and Rostov on Don) gave birth to the first Juventus Academy Tournament in Russia. It was a very important event, which once again confirmed the validity of the project, which has been active in Russia since 2014.
It’s a story that saw the start of the first Russian Juventus Academies in 2017, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, before then adding the Academy of Rostov last year. The kids of the three Academies have always been involved in international projects, such as the Juventus Academy World Cup plus the Training Experiences and training courses for coaches hosted in Turin.
It was not easy to think of such an event during this period, but its fruition - after long preparations and permits obtained by all the authorities - filled the organisers with pride, confirming how in Russia the Academy project is more alive and active than never.
