Juventus' involvement in the Artissima Fair, the most prestigious contemporary art event in Italy, will continue once again in 2024. The event will take place in Turin, at the Lingotto from 1st to 3rd November.
Dedicated to children between the ages of 6 and 11, Artissima Junior once again this year offers a special space where young fans are given free rein to use their imagination, guided by artist Sara Enrico (Galleria Vistamare). The participants will be involved in the creation of a choral work entitled ‘Sognare di lato, di qua, di là’ (Dreaming everywhere, this way, that way). This collective work encourages thinking outside the box and exploring hidden worlds, inspiring children to look at reality from a new perspective, through the power of daydreams.
On the Artissima Junior stand, there will also be a screening of the short film ‘IL TAPPETO VERDE’ (THE GREEN CARPET) by artist and director Ancarani Yuri (Galerie Isabella Bortolozzi and ZERO). This work, which made up the summer and touring edition of the project, accompanies children and visitors on a visual and poetic journey, interweaving the wonder of play with the power of imagination.
This work is inspired by the brand's commitment to the younger generations and their imaginations. The title of the film views the football pitch as a magical space where hopes and desires intertwine, in a kaleidoscope of emotions and expectations. The work reflects on the innate ability of children to dream big and the responsibility of adults to defend, respect and support these dreams, thus linking to the theme of this edition of Artissima, entitled ‘The Era of Daydreaming’. ‘IL TAPPETO VERDE’ premiered both at the 54th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, the iconic film festival for children and young people held in Giffoni from 19 to 28 July, and in September, at the 81st edition of the Venice International Film Festival.
Not only that...
Returning to Giffoni, ‘Dreaming with open eyes’ is the title of the ‘Artissima Junior x JAY’ workshop that could be seen at the Juventus stand at the Giffoni Village. Through a special activity book, children were invited to express themselves by drawing an ambitious and personal dream they would like to realise as a team, thus taking part in a contest to become the main character of one of the digital animations of JAY, the Juventus mascot protagonist in a series of digital cartoons.
The five dreams that resonated best with the idea of teamwork, the concept of uniqueness and choral value, and of collectively overcoming challenges, were recounted in a special episode of ‘Team JAY’, which will be presented for viewing at Artissima Junior, from 1 November.
A unique experience, combining our passion for football with the world of art.
