Juventus Legends president David Trezeguet and a team of former Bianconeri greats set off today for Shanghai, where they will take part in the LuvFans Cup Forever Legends Friendly Match against a selection of local legends on Friday 25 March at the Hongkou Stadium.
Nicola Amoruso, Stephen Appiah, Alessandro Birindelli, Angelo Di Livio, Dimas Teixeira, Ciro Ferrara, Mark Iuliano, Olivier Kapo, Angelo Peruzzi, Fabrizio Ravanelli, Stefano Tacconi and Moreno Torricelli all join Trezeguet in a team managed by Gianluca Pessotto.
Several of the above have already featured in previous Legends matches against Boca Juniors and Real Madrid.
Having taken off from Turin on Monday morning, the Bianconeri changed flights at Frankfurt and will arrive at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai on Tuesday morning (local time).
The organisers of Friday’s friendly match, Luvfans Network Technology Co. Ltd. manages an online portal dedicated to the Chinese football community.
China counts approximately 58 million Juventus supporters, who follow the club daily and actively on the country’s primary social networks: Sina Weibo, Tencent, Wechat and Baidu Post Bar among others.
Now, thanks to Juventus' recently launched partnership with Luvfans, they can live their passion for all things Bianconeri through a unique digital platform: **the Juventus Chinese Digital Fan Community.**
The principal aim of Friday’s friendly match is to encourage a greater number of fans to engage with football and promote the beautiful game in a country that is dear to the hearts of all connected with Juventus, with the magnificent welcome received for the Italian Super Cup match on 8 August still fresh in everyone’s minds.
Bianconeri ties with Shanghai in particular are also being strengthened with the opening of a first **Juventus Academy** in the city.
