Massimiliano Allegri was clearly disappointed after Juventus slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday night.
"It’s a shame," said the Bianconeri coach. "The team produced a good performance but we’re never able to put them to bed. There’s always a risk when you play against the top teams. We give away too many free-kicks in both wide and central areas.
"That said, we’re still top. We have two games left that we can use to ensure we win the group and go through to the last 16. We need to pick ourselves up right away because we have a massive game in Milan on Sunday."
Allegri called for his side to maintain their focus as they look to improve in the coming weeks.
"We need to keep working," he said. "We made too many mistakes tonight. We played well, but tonight shows that good performances aren’t enough. You can’t always win in football and this was the least damaging game to lose."
