Juventus One | A new season, a new name

Today (Saturday, 16 November) marks the beginning of a new and eagerly awaited sporting season for our Paralympic teams, and it is a time that brings with it the excitement and adrenaline of a new start accompanied by a significant novelty.

The FIGC Paralympic and Experimental Football Division season is restarting and, with it, a new chapter begins for Juventus! From this season, our Paralympic athletes will play with a new identity - 'Juventus One', and no longer 'Juventus for Special'.

A NEW IDENTITY FOR A NEW BEGINNING

The new name marks an important symbolic step, one that intends to represent the philosophy behind the project, which is that disability is not a limitation or a “special” condition, but one of the many common aspects of human existence and diversity.

The club worked on making this change during the 2023/24 season, reaching a vision that unites and reinforces the idea of inclusion. Juventus One, then, becomes the expression of a renewed spirit of equality, where everybody is an integral part of the Juventus family while sending an important message: no matter the role or the league, we are all equally part of Juventus. That philosophy had already taken shape at the ‘Juventus is Juventus’ event on 3 December last year, when the club organised a training session that mixed players from the Women’s Under-19s team and the Men’s Under-19s and Next Gen sides.

Starting this season, the Juventus One identity will be visible on match kits in the form of a sleeve patch, providing a tangible symbol of the evolution.

Today, with the debuts of Level 2 and Level 3 teams, a pathway is opening that confirms Juventus’ commitment to barrier-free football, where human value is at the very centre.

With 130 athletes and six teams taking part in the various levels of the season - one for Level 1, two for Level 2, two for Level 3 and one for Level 4 - Juventus One confirms the solidity and the importance of the project. These debuts for the Level 2 and Level 3 teams mark the beginning of their seasons, while Levels 1 and 4 will kick off in the coming weeks.

It was a very promising start to the season, judging by the results of the first day.

With Juventus One, we are looking to the future, with the spirit of those who believe that inclusion is a victory to be achieved with the same energy we put into every match we play.
