A network of technical centres of excellence built to transmit the Juventus Model to the next generation of youngsters, Juventus Soccer School is four months into new territory. Autonomously run from the beginning of this season, the ambitious project is already of considerably size and scale.
Take the club’s Sisport Turin base for example, now counting a total of 1,018 members - made up of three separate age groups Esordienti (108), Pulcini (445), and Piccoli Amici (465) - 79 coaching staff and two technical and sporting directors.
With such a staggering uptake, as many as 43 Juventus associated teams have been able to compete in the region’s local competitions this term, making the Juventus Sisport Soccer School the largest of its kind in Piedmont.
Key to the centre’s success have been the strong ties formed with the club’s youth academy, a bond strengthened further by an afternoon of fun and games in Vinovo today.
With over 200 “Sisport” young guns between the ages of seven and eight in attendance, a footballing feast was to be found on the training pitches of Juve’s youth teams made all the more special by the appearances of Giorgio Chiellini and J-Kids mascot J.
Today's was the first of a series of events taking place across the globe in the coming weeks with a similar show in Guatemala City in the planner in the coming weeks for the launch of another of the School's international bases.
Proof, if ever it was needed, that the love for Juve knows no boundaries!
