The 2023 Women's World Cup is just around the corner, but Juventus Women are starting to plan for the 2023/24 season.
So, let's start with the basics, that is, with the date that the Bianconere will return to base at Vinovo and, then, when they will get back to work.
When will the Bianconere be back together? Wednesday, August 9, 2023 is the date set for the physical examinations and medical tests, and will of course be for the players who do not have World Cup commitments this summer. The tests will also continue on Thursday, the August 10. The next day, Friday 11, the Bianconere will take the field for the first training session of the season.
The respective returns of those in Australia and New Zealand will be decided on a case-by-case basis, and of course will be determined by how long they are involved at the World Cup.
Coach Joe Montemurro, then, will start working with the players he will have at his disposal, focusing on the first official fixtures, namely the first two UEFA Women's Champions League qualification Mini Tournament games, scheduled between September 6 and 9.
The first day of the Serie A season, however, will not be played until the weekend of September 16-17.
