Having put pen to paper on a contract to make her Juventus Women’s latest signing, Emma Kullberg could barely hide her excitement.
Our latest recruit can’t wait to get going with the Bianconere, and she took the time on the day of her signing to share some words and her feelings.
“My first feelings are that everything is beautiful here, this is a club that knows how to make you feel welcome, and does it with great professionalism,” Emma said. “I’m excited, you can see that this is a great club, but what I’ve always noticed is how Juventus knows how to be one block, a united family, where everybody takes care of one another. I can’t wait to be a part of it.
“I’ve learnt a lot in my career, and now I can’t wait to get to know Italy and Italian football, both of which I’ve seen and watched many times.”
But what can we expect from Emma on the pitch? Well, probably, a lot of pace and a willingness to play anywhere.
“I’m quick and I can read the game well, I’m also very adaptable and versatile.”
With the Paris 2024 Olympic Games ongoing, it feels right to ask Emma about her own experiences in Tokyo, where she and Sweden won silver.
“It was incredible, it’s something you never forget. It was my first tournament of that kind, and it was great to be in the Olympic village with so many athletes from all over the world.
“As well, I was there with the national team and as part of a group that were a real family, always supporting each other. And that is exactly what I hope to experience here with Juventus too.”
