A big last month of the season for La Vecchia Signora, who would go on to win their fourth consecutive Coppa Italia, whilst sealing their seventh-straight Scudetto, in addition to saying goodbye to Gianluigi Buffon who confirmed his Juventus exit after 17 years at the club.
FIRST UP: BOLOGNA
The Bianconeri welcomed Bologna to the Allianz Stadium to kick-off the month of May, however they trailed the first half 0-1 at home. In the second period Juve made amends, levelling the scores through an own-goal in the 52nd minute, before Sami Khedira put the Old Lady up 2-1. Paulo Dybala finished things off with a well-taken goal to see Juve record all three points with a 3-1 win:
TWO TITLES IN ROME
With a Coppa Italia final to play against Milan and a trip to Roma in the space of a week, the Bianconeri would be heading to the Italian capital knowing they could seal a domestic double over two crucial matches.
First up was fourth Italian cup final in four years against rivals Milan:
A tight and tense first half ended 0-0 in Rome, however Juve broke the deadlock from a set-piece with a centre-back Medhi Benatia heading home!
Douglas Costa made it two on the hour mark with a strike from distance that caught Gianluigi Donnarumma cold in the Milan goal, before Benatia made it three just two minutes later after a Donnarumma fumble on a corner.
Juve made scored their third from a corner to make it 4-0 when Nikola Kalinic put through his own net, as an emphatic win confirmed Juve as cup winners for the fourth year in a row.
Of course, there was now only one thing left to do:
Once the festivities were out of the way it was up to the group to re-focus for a return to Rome to play Roma, as Juve were just one point away from wrapping up the title.
A tight and cagey game between the two saw the game end in a 0-0 draw, but that didn't matter as the Bianconeri had done it, they had become #MY7H!
For the second time in Rome...
Goodbye Numero Uno
Shortly after confirming their league and cup double, captain Gianluigi Buffon called a press conference, where he announced for the first time that he would be leaving Juventus after 17 years at the club.
There will simply never be another one like Gianluigi Buffon, he is truly #UN1CO:
Final game of the season
There was one more fixture to fulfil to close out the season, as the Bianconeri hosted Hellas Verona at the Allianz Stadium.
Before the match, Gonzalo Higuain received his second successive MVP of the Year award:
A tap-in from Daniele Rugani and a splendid free-kick from Miralem Pjanic sealed victory in a 2-1 win, as the Bianconeri ended the season just as they started it.
However, much of the game was a sideshow to the eventual post-match celebrations, and this emotional moment just past the hour mark:
However, the Bianconeri captain would soon be back out on the pitch to lift Scudetto number 36!
Once the trophy was lifted it was time to take to the streets of Turin and celebrate with our fans:
Another extraordinary season in Black and White! We hope to build many memories like this one for years to come...
