A derby is always a special game, yet today's Juventus-Torino tussle was that much more special for Manuel Locatelli, who made his 100th appearance in a black and white shirt, the shirt he dreamed of wearing as a child.
Manuel has many happy Derby memories, having scored his second goal for Juventus against the Granata just a month into his first season in Bianconero. It was the summer of 2021 when he arrived from Sassuolo, immediately after winning the European Championship with the Italian national team.
The midfielder born in 1998 has come a long way since his debut in Udine on 22 August 2021, reaching triple figures in terms of the number of appearances, coupled with three goals and eight assists.
He is now into his third season at Juve, this evening's match marking a century of club appearances for the midfielder - the first time he has ever reached this figure for any of the clubs he has previously played for, having played 99 games for previous side Sassuolo.
Here's to many more, congrats Loca!
