Marrone joins Zulte Waregem on loan

Juventus Football Club can today confirm that Luca Marrone has joined Zulte Waregem on a season-long loan deal.

The Belgian outfit, founded in 2002 following the fusion of Zulte VV and KSV Waregem, competes in the country’s top flight, namely the Pro League, and currently sits in second place following five matches of the 2016/17 campaign.

Defensive midfielder Marrone is a product of Juventus’ youth setup and rose through the ranks in Vinovo to make his first-team debut in August 2009.

The 26-year-old would go on to make 23 appearances for his hometown club, scoring one goal and winning three Serie A titles, two Italian Super Cups and a Coppa Italia trophy in the process.

Everyone associated with Juventus wishes Luca the very best for the season ahead.
