The latest instalment of the Derby della Mol was the 14th victory for Coach Massimiliano Allegri against Torino, and his 13th at the helm of Juve.
DERBY MASTER
Allegri's 13th Derby victory, secured with strikes from Federico Gatti and Arek Milik, saw him equal Giovanni Trapattoni's record as the Juventus coach with the most Derby victories to his name.
BEYOND THE DERBY
Saturday evening saw Coach Allegri earn his 289th victory as a coach in Serie A. He is therefore not only getting closer to the hallowed "300 Club", but is now in third place in terms of overall matches won by a coach, having overtaken Luciano Spalletti's tally of 288 following Saturday's win.
The only two coaches in history to have surpassed 300 victories in Serie A are also the only two ahead of Allegri, namely Nereo Rocco with 302 and Giovanni Trapattoni with 352.
IMPRESSIVE NUMBERS
289 wins out of 478 matches, which means a 61% victory rate in Serie A. Even in this case, Allegri is in a more than flattering position: among those who have exceeded 100 matches, only Antonio Conte has a higher win percentage of 67,9%. It must also be said that his total matches are less than half of those of the current Juventus coach, 203 in total.
