Juventus Women coach Joe Montemurro has been looking ahead to the Bianconere’s big game in the capital on Sunday, as they are on the road to take on Roma at the Stadio Tee Fontane.
Just weeks after the Bianconere beat the Giallorosse to win the Italian Super Cup, Montemurro was again previewing a game against a side that have become familiar foes of Juventus in recent seasons.
Below, we've taken some of what he had to say.
On the draw against Fiorentina
“Against Fiorentina we were just missing goals, the finishing touches on the chances we created. We could stay here and talk forever about chances missed, but this is football, you have to finish your chances. I think there were a lot of positives to take from the game.”
On the game against Roma
“We live for these games, you get involved in football for important games like this. We’re always focused on ourselves and on what we can do well and our own strong points. Honestly, we’ve worked more on ourselves than on finding solutions for the opponents.”
The deciding factors
“It all comes down to mentality. Of course the situations on the pitch, the moments of decision are different in every game, but if the attitude is right and the mentality is right, like we saw the week of the Super Cup, then I believe we can play a good game.”
