Forward together with the Under 19 and Next Gen respectively after Paolo Montero and Massimo Brambilla signed contract extensions until 2024.
Massimo Brambilla
Massimo Brambilla closed the 2022-23 season one step away from the play-off zone after having replaced Lamberto Zauli last summer. Never risking relegation, Next Gen made thier season special in the Serie C Coppa Italia, losing out in the two-legged final against Vicenza. A highly experienced coach, Brambilla had shown his talent at shaping youngsters with Novara and Atalanta, before arriving at the helm of the Next Gen. A special mention for the coach from Vimercate given the precious help provided to the first team with the many talented players that made their breakthrough last year and who have already established themselves on the national scene.
These shared his thoughts on the news of his renewal at Juventus: "I am happy, we always talked about continuing this relationship and now it's official. I am happy to continue along this path and this adventure of mine with Juventus. I think I'll be starting this year with different knowledge, more advanced, because I know Serie C better now and also the boys, both those I coached last season and those who will come up from Primavera. The goals are the same as last year. The first is the growth of the boys from an individual and collective point of view, and consequently the results must come from a sporting point of view, trying to qualify for the play-offs so that the boys can gain even more experience when the stakes are even higher."
The 2023/24 season for Juventus Next Gen will officially begin on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, when training resumes.
Paolo Montero
Montero arrived in the summer of 2022 following experiences at Sambenedettese in Serie C and with San Lorenzo in the Argentine championship. A heartfelt choice for the Uruguayan, a Juventus fans' favourite due to nine seasons at the heart of the Bianconeri defence between 1996 and 2005. The under 19 coach has so far brought through players of promise, conveying the values necessary to wear the black and white stripes. The league run ended in the quarter-finals of the play-offs against Sassuolo. A positive starting point for the objectives set for the season about to kick off.
"I am very proud to have renewed my contract with Juventus for another year," said Montero. "I thank all the management who, once again, have shown their trust in me. What I feel like saying is that we will always give our all and, above all, our first objectives will be to make all of the youngsters who will begin this year's journey in Primavera understand the value of this shirt and the sense of belonging to this fantastic club. We will give everything we've got to give our fans and also ourselves tremendous satisfaction. See you soon."
The Juventus Under-19 team will meet again to start the new season on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
Good luck, Massimo and Paolo! Here's to a bright and ambitious future with the Bianconeri.
