Motta: we want to put on a great performance for our fans

Ahead of the Juventus-Parma game, coach Thiago Motta spoke at the Allianz Stadium about what the clash on Wednesday, 30 October would bring (kick-off at 20.45 CET).

BETWEEN INTER AND PARMA

“We must play a good game, in all phases, interpreting transitions well; we want to win but we’ll have to deserve it, staying compact and united throughout the whole match, knowing how to handle situations well even when complications arise, which we must put an end to as quickly as possible. Parma are a very good team, with interesting players and a coach who prepares for matches very well, but we want to give it our all and put on a great performance for our fans; we work so hard after matches, analysing them so we can understand what went well and what didn’t. There is one thing we do need to improve on: we have to finish with 11 men and not concede penalties; the Inter-Juve game is in the past and our focus is 200% on Parma. Tomorrow, Teun Koopmeiners returns to the squad, but we don't know if he will start yet.”

ABOUT THE SQUAD

“We need everyone. There is no misunderstanding with Federico Gatti, he is an important player for us but choices have to be made for the good of the team. A possible replacement for Dusan Vlahovic? We'll see when he rests, if that time comes, based on the team and the game we face. I saw a good performance from Juan Cabal on Sunday, but also from his teammates. I'm very happy with the way they work, especially in training, and that they do well in the game.”
