Opportunity - this was one of the most important words, if not the most important, that emerged from the round table on the theme 'Second Teams in Italy and Europe, a Model for the Future?'.
A meeting organised by Juventus at the Allianz Stadium, in collaboration with Lega Pro, which saw the participation, among others, of Gabriele Gravina, President of the Italian Football Federation, Francesco Ghirelli, President of Lega Pro and Lorenzo Casini, President of Lega Serie A.
The round table was the first chapter of Next Gen Day, exploring the important topic of second teams in Italy, with the aim of provoking an active debate in Italy and beyond. In fact, the contribution from industry experts and professionals who have experienced this reality in other European countries has been invaluable. Pablo Longoria, President of Marseille, and Andrea Berta, Sporting Director of Atletico Madrid, are just two names of those who have contributed to making this appointment even richer, in addition to the speeches by Alvaro Morata and Sami Khedira, two former Juventus players, on the possibility of growing through the second teams.
