Empoli are the Bianconeri's opponents this weekend, the struggling Tuscan outfit lining up at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday looking to improve their dismal record against the Bianconeri.
The Azzurri have won just one of their 14 previous encounters played in Turin, and currently occupy 19th spot on the Serie A table, and have won just one of their last five matches.
Ahead of Saturday evening's 18:00 CET kick-off, here's ten things to know about our opposition.
- Empoli have won only one of the 14 away games played at Juventus in Serie A: 0-1 in August 2021, with a goal from Leonardo Mancuso.
- The Azzurri have collected just 16 points in this Serie A and have never done worse after the first 21 matches played in a single top-flight season: 16 points also in 2003/04 and 2007/08, with the Tuscans nevertheless avoiding the defeat on both occasions in the 22nd match of the season.
- Empoli have not won any of the last 14 matches played against a team that occupied first position in the table at the start of the Serie A championship round: 13 defeats (including the 11 most recent in chronological order), of which seven were against Juventus.
- Empoli are coming off the back of a win against Monza, with a clean sheet to boot, and have not collected two victories in a row without conceding a goal in Serie A since January 2023.
- No team has conceded more goals than Empoli from outside the area in the current season (six, like Frosinone, Milan and Udinese).
- Empoli is, with Monza, only one of the two teams to have scorers hail from the fewest different nationalities this season: four.
- Francesco Caputo scored five goals in Serie A against Juventus, against no opponent has he done better in the competition.
- Szymon Zurkowski has scored four goals in his last two league matches - as many as in the previous 36 matches for Spezia, Fiorentina and Empoli. He has scored all of Empoli's last four goals; the last player to have scored at least five goals in a row for the Tuscans in Serie A was Tommaso Rocchi: six between January and February 2004.
- Sebastiano Luperto is only one of two outfield players to have played all 1890 minutes so far this season (the other is Nehuén Pérez).
- Davide Nicola has never won against Juventus in Serie A: in 10 matches, he has earned two draws and suffered eight defeats.
