Juventus are at the Allianz Stadium once again this weekend, hosting Genoa in their final Serie A fixture before the upcoming international break.
The Ligurians currently sit 12th in the standings, with just one win from their last six games. They drew 1-1 in the first leg against the Bianconeri, but have traditionally struggled in Turin, where they will look to make amends this Sunday lunchtime.
Ahead of this weekend's match-up, here's ten things to know about the Grifone.
- Genoa have never scored more than one goal per game in their last 10 away matches against Juventus in Serie A (four goals scored in total), remaining without a goal six times, including the most recent match (0-2, on 5 December 2021).
- After not having collected maximum points in the 10 previous matches played at 12:30 CET in Serie A (3D, 7L), Genoa won the most recent of these matches, the only one played at this time this season: 2-1 at home against Lecce, on January 28th.
- Genoa are coming off two defeats in a row in Serie A and have not suffered three defeats in a row this campaign.
- The Rossoblu have failed to find the net in the first half in six of their last seven Serie A matches – the only exception being the 2-0 win over Udinese on 24 February – and have conceded two first-half goals in each of their last two matches (vs Inter and Monza).
- After victory in the first away match of the championship (1-0 vs Lazio on 27 August 2023), Genoa won only two of the next 13 away matches in Serie A (4D, 7L), losing the most recent (1-2 vs Inter).
- The Grifone is the only team to have never scored in injury time this season, as well as being the team that has conceded the most goals in this period of the match (seven).
- On loan from Juventus, Koni De Winter never made his Serie A debut with the Bianconeri, but made two appearances in the group stage of the 2021/22 Champions League (vs Chelsea and Malmö).
- Albert Gudmundsson scored in each of his first two appearances against Juventus in Serie A: in the three points for a win era (1994/95), the only player who managed to score in all of his first three matches against the Bianconeri in the competition was Mauro Icardi.
- Juventus is the team against which Ruslan Malinovskyi has scored the most goals in Serie A: three, scored between 2020 and 2022 with Atalanta.
- The next one will be appearance number 150 for Kevin Strootman in Serie A, who has suffered three career defeats against Juventus in the competition, only against Atalanta (four) does he have more.
