It's Hellas Verona up next for Juventus, who will line up at the Bentegodi Stadium for Saturday's 18:00 CET kick-off against a side struggling in Italy's top-flight this season.
With just one win in their last seven games, the Gialloblu are languishing in 18th place on the Serie A table, a point behind 17th-placed Sassuolo who however have a game in hand, yet will hope home advantage will help in their quest to overcome the Bianconeri this weekend.
Ahead of Saturday evening's match-up, here's ten things to know about the Scaligeri.
- Hellas Verona has won 12 home games against Juventus (11D, 9L), against no team they have done better at home in Serie A (12 also against Sampdoria).
- From 2016 onwards, Verona has earned three home victories against Juventus in Serie A (1D, 2L), against no team they have done better in this period (three wins also against Cagliari).
- The Gialloblu have remained unbeaten in seven of their last nine matches at the Bentegodi against Juventus in Serie A (W3, D4), however losing the most recent one (0-1 on 10 November 2022). The Scaligeri have never recorded two home defeats in a row against the Bianconeri in the league.
- Verona kept a clean sheet in their last league match, against Monza, and have not achieved two clean sheets in a row in Serie A since April 2014.
- After three home league defeats in a row, Hellas Verona remained unbeaten in five of their last six Serie A home games (2W, 3D), losing only against Salernitana in this period (0-1), on 30 December.
- Only Cagliari (37%) and Torino (38%) have a lower percentage of shots on target than Verona (39%) this season– the Venetian team is also 16th in terms of goalscoring percentage in the 2023/24 Serie A (7.8%).
- Tomás Suslov was involved in Verona's last two league goals: a goal against Frosinone and an assist against Napoli, the Slovakian could take part in at least one goal in three matches in a row for the first time in Serie A.
- Lorenzo Montipò has made 75 saves this season, fewer only than Wladimiro Falcone (77) and Michele Di Gregorio (83).
- Thomas Henry has scored three goals as a substitute this season, fewer only than Luka Jovic and Lautaro Martínez (four) – the Hellas Verona striker has not scored a goal as a starter in Serie A since 21 August 2022.
- Juventus is one of the four teams against which Darko Lazovic has played the most games against in Serie A without ever managing to score: 14, like against Lazio and only fewer than against Bologna and Milan (15).
